  1. Amy,
I enjoyed your poems. I especially liked the zoo I am poem, because I thought it was very creative topic for that kind of poem.

  2. HI Amy! I enjoyed reading your poems-very creative. Your concrete poems were my favorites, but they were all very well written. I thought your I-poem was interesting with lots of good details. :) Sonia

  3. Amy,
I really liked your poems. I think that your I poem is better than you think. I like the way that you brought in the feelings of zoo when an animal dies. That really touched me because I love animanls. Plus I like how you brought in environmental elements and how they could possibly affect the animals. Good Job!

  4. Amy,

I always enjoy reading your pieces. I can tell you have really worked on the “I Poem.” You blended the “facts” nicely with figurative language. I can see that you did have a reference. I think that’s where you and I misunderstood that original assignment. I really liked the imagery you utilized. I felt like I was at the zoo. The comment about the balloon was so funny. You need to share this with your students.

The concrete poem was again amazing!! The cross is symbolic in itself, but you made it even more thought provoking. The acrostic poem about the children was a great effort. I think you have covered all bases!!

  5. Amy: I think you did a great job on all your poems. My favorite is your concrete poem of the cross. I love that you put Jesus dying on the Christ for us in print as a constant reminder of what he’s done for us. Romans 10:9-10 NIV States; “That if you state with your mouth that Jesus is Lord , and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and you are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.”
